The words are found below. My interpretation of the song is that it is about forbidden love- the kind that pulls you into a dark deep depression, potentially an affair of some sort. Or possibly being in love with a person that has such sadness/depression and darkness that they just drag you right down with them. Especially the part of the song where she almost sees her way out, she makes a map, but then hears him there in the dark and chooses to stay.
